KINGDOM PRAYERS FOR THE
WEEK OF SEPTEMBER 9, 2024
FMC PRAYER: Lord, we lift up the women of FMC. May Your Spirit encourage our older women to patiently train the younger in family issues and may our younger women continually encourage the older to respect and honor their husbands. Teach our women to be virtuous—women with gentle and quiet spirits who put their hope in You. May these women truly know Your passion for them and choose to spend time at Your feet.
SUNDAY’S SCRIPTURE: Joshua 9 ~ The Gibeonite Deception
FMC ENDSTATE: Throughout the Tri-State Region & Beyond…barriers are broken down…Lord, we come before You, seeking Your intervention in our lives as You show us how to respond to the world around us. We recognize the barriers that we have built — barriers of fear, mistrust, pride, and entitlement — these walls separate us from fully experiencing Your boundless love and from unity with one another. We humbly ask You to break down these walls. Tear away the obstacles that hinder our ability to love fully, to forgive freely, and to fully embrace Your grace. Grant us the courage to face our own shortcomings and the wisdom to seek reconciliation. Thank You for never giving up on us.
INVISIBLE CHURCH: Lord, help us to recognize and embrace the joy of Christ in our daily routines and interactions. May Your joy infuse every aspect of our lives – from the mundane tasks to the moments of challenge and change. Teach us to see Your hand at work in the little things and to find delight in the simple blessings of each day. Grant us eyes to perceive Your love in the everyday experiences we often take for granted. Let the light of Christ shine through our actions, words, and attitudes, turning ordinary moments into opportunities full of grace and joy.
STUDENTS: Lord, we pray for the students as they wrestle with the Truth of the gospel and the deceptive ways of this world. We ask for protection as they are constantly bombarded with social media – we pray that Your Truth would penetrate their hearts and steady their beliefs and resolve. Strengthen them as they fight the good fight of faith.
SCRIPTURE: 2 Timothy 4:3-5 “For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions, and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander off into myths. As for you, always be sober-minded, endure suffering, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.”
CARE: Lord, grant me the gift of empathy this week and reveal to me the wisdom and understanding I need to respond accordingly to those going through struggles. Show me how to be a comforting presence in their lives and offer a listening ear and a compassionate heart. As I strive to empathize with those in need, I pray that You would fill me with the ability to truly comprehend their pain and challenges. Thank You for the opportunity to care for others as You have cared for me.
