KINGDOM PRAYERS FOR THE
WEEK OF SEPTEMBER 16, 2024
FMC PRAYER: Father, this week we lift up the men of FMC to You. May Your Spirit build and strengthen them as they walk out their faith in their every day ordinary lives. Draw them closer to You through the encouragement of Your Spirit and teach them what it means to be a fatherly figure as You are to us. May they love their wives sacrificially, the men and women in their lives respectfully, and instruct their children/co-workers with patience. Encourage them to hold each other accountable as they carry each other’s burdens; and may they speak the truth in love, even when it’s hard.
SUNDAY’S SCRIPTURE: Joshua 10:1-15 ~ The Sun Stands Still
FMC ENDSTATE: Throughout the Tri-State Region & Beyond…the hungry are fed…Lord, You alone are the Giver and Sustainer of life. You know every thought in our minds and the desperate cries of our hearts. Through Your Word, You have given us our daily bread as fuel to face each day and through communion with You, we are able to see the fruit of Your Spirit. Thank You for giving us food that sustains and strengthens us and thank You for filling us with a joyous hunger for Your Kingdom.
INVISIBLE CHURCH: Lord, help me worship You with an undistracted heart. You know how my mind wanders to my upcoming week, present worries, and thoughts of others and other things. Help me throw those worries aside as I focus on You and Your glory alone. May Your Spirit cause my heart, soul, mind, and strength to exalt Your Holy Name in my words, my thoughts, and my interactions with others, today and every day hereafter.
STUDENTS: Lord, wherever our students interact with their peers, we pray that You would protect them from any illness and its effects. Father, our bodies are good gifts, wonderfully made, and we pray that You would guard their health, for their protection and the protection of those around them.
SCRIPTURE: Psalm 139:14 “I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well.”
CARE: Father, thank You for the difficult people in my life. As I interact with them this week, please equip me with the knowledge and wisdom needed to respond accordingly. Please prompt me when to remain silent (John 8:6), ask questions (Mark 11:28–29), relate to their situation (Luke 7:40–42), point them to Scripture (Mark 10:2–3), and rebuke accordingly (John 8:47).
I ask for a keen perception of my own pride as well Lord, so that when I interact with difficult people, You would humbly remind me to approach each encounter with humility and meekness.
