KINGDOM PRAYERS FOR THE WEEK OF JULY 3, 2023
FMC PRAYER: Lord, we lift up our worship and tech teams to you this week. Thank you for their commitment to hone their gifts and talents as they magnify Your name each and every week. Please continue to appoint people to this position who understand the splendor of Your holiness and praise You out of that understanding. It’s all about You Lord, and not about us – as our voices unite in praise, may we be encouraged, strengthened, and humbled to be a part of Your amazing Kingdom.
SUNDAY’S SCRIPTURE: Ephesians 4:25-29
FMC TEAM VALUES: Value 8 – Protect this House. This speaks to communication and relationship. It’s all about unity and commitment to Christ. Those are the things that protect us from the enemy. It’s easy to dismiss negative comments that we think or hear others speak. Instead, let us stop and say, “No! That is dangerous and cannot continue.” We will never allow triangulation, where we talk to a third party about an issue we are having with someone. Instead, we will always go to that person individually first. Moreover, we will hold each other accountable to do the same.
INVISIBLE CHURCH: Lord, guide our leadership in faithfully shepherding the flock. Thank You, Lord, for the gift of pastors, teachers, and elders. Strengthen their faith and joy in the gospel and help them faithfully and unashamedly fulfill their ministry of shepherding the church and equipping the saints for ministry Give them great wisdom and direction in every aspect of ministry, and may their example show the church and the world who you are. Bless the spouses and families of those leaders with great gospel joy in the ministry. Help us honor them as your appointed shepherds who sacrifice much for the Kingdom’s sake (Hebrews 13:17).
PILLAR: Pillar 12: Manage Well (planner/administrator/organizer) FMC protects against time inconsistency, good idea fairies, & the tyranny of uninformed & reactionary responses.
PRACTICE:Meditate – How can you apply this scripture to your life and the strengthening of the church? Titus 3:12-14 – When I send Artemas or Tychicus to you, do your best to come to me at Nicopolis, for I have decided to spend the winter there. Do your best to speed Zenas the lawyer and Apollos on their way; see that they lack nothing. And let our people learn to devote themselves to good works, so as to help cases of urgent need, and not be unfruitful.
