KINGDOM PRAYERS FOR THE WEEK OF JUNE 26, 2023
FMC PRAYER: Lord, we lift up those who do not recognize you as Lord and Savior. We ask that Your Word be presented to them this week through gentleness, conviction, power, understanding, and an overwhelming peace that they have never known before. Teach us to make the most of every opportunity to share the richness of Your salvation and to be the fragrance of Christ to them. Unite us as we stand together against the enemy and his attempts to keep them blinded to Your truth.
SUNDAY’S SCRIPTURE: Ephesians 4:29 “Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear.”
FMC TEAM VALUES: Value 7 – Laugh Out Loud: Laugh out loud! Have fun. As we work, have fun. As we serve, have fun. We want to be a team that laughs together. This is something that we must be intentional about. Fun must be not only allowed for but planned for. During meetings, we want laughter to be commonplace. We want to be the kind of team that laughs frequently during meetings, a team that isn’t always serious and sour, a team that dances at each other’s weddings. This is one of the most important values.
INVISIBLE CHURCH: Lord, protect us from evil men and evil ideas. Since the beginning, the enemy of our souls seeks to destroy Your glorious purposes for the world and Your people. We pray for Your protection against all powers and principalities seeking to sow division, anger, envy, greed, and lust among Your people. Keep evil men with destructive intent and unsound doctrines far from us. Expose our culture’s ugly lies and the lies we want to believe by setting our hearts on Truth that leads to love, a good conscience, and sincere faith (1 Timothy 1:5).
PILLAR: Pillar 11: Build Each Other Up in Christ (exhort/affirm/encourage/peacemaker) Pray that FMC does not sit in judgement on anyone’s situation; instead, pray that our friendships would be strengthened with the wisdom and power of the Holy Spirit – as we stand beside you, no matter what you are going through.
PRACTICE: Listen and ask questions this week. Pray for those ‘hard to love’ people in your life and the encounters you will have with them. When complaints and judgements start to surface in conversation, humbly ask questions to find the source of the problem.
