Kingdom Prayers

KINGDOM PRAYERS FOR THE WEEK OF SEPTEMBER 26, 2022

FMC PRAYER: Pray that God’s Spirit and power would fill the church.
“That He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power through His Spirit in the inner man, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; and that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled up to all the fullness of God.” (Ephesians 3:16-19)

SUNDAY’S SCRIPTURE: Ephesians 3: 14-15 “For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named…”

FMC TEAM VALUES: Value 9 – Take it on the Chin: As FMC team members, we’re not going to make excuses. Instead, we will own whatever feedback, criticism, or issue has arisen. We will take responsibility, apologize if needed, and act to remedy any shortcomings rather than trying to escape from ownership even in the face of problems and challenges. Not only will each of us be open to feedback and constructive criticism; we will actively invite it. And when we give feedback, we will do it with grace.

OUTREACH: For technological advances: We want to be a church who doesn’t conform to the culture around us, but rather, uses everything we possibly can to reach those in our communities as effectively as we can! Pray that we know how best to do that; pray that we know how best to come alongside those for whom technology is a challenge or frustration; pray that every heart would be softened to change when it is meant to make us more effective in obeying the Great Commission here in the Tri-State region and beyond! Pray that any technology we use never distracts, but only makes it easier and easier for us to proclaim the Gospel!

PILLAR: Pillar 2: Promote Christian Fellowship (fellowship/interpersonal/engaging/relational/communion) FMC ensures Christ is at the center of all communal engagements; we promote a fellowship of believers in Christ

APPLICATION: Practice: Think through how you would build up and encourage people without complimenting or leading them into sins of self. Then pray for someone specifically and ask God to open doorways in which you can practice those encouraging words.
