KINGDOM PRAYERS FOR THE
WEEK OF JULY 29, 2024
FMC PRAYER: Lord, we lift up our entire congregation to You. Open our eyes to recognize where You have placed us and how we can best serve You each and every day. As we learn to listen and respond to Your calling, may we realize our every purpose and every faith-filled act of service is fulfilled by Your power alone. May our knees become bruised and battered from humbly submitting to You in prayer as we walk in love with one another, clothed in Your righteousness and longing to see Your Kingdom come.
SUNDAY’S SCRIPTURE: Joshua 3-4 ~ Let’s Go: Marking Growth
FMC ENDSTATE: Throughout the Tri-State Region & Beyond…the lost are found…
Father, we beg You to draw those who are spiritually lost back to You! Isaiah 53:6 says that “We all went astray like sheep; we all have turned to our own way; and the Lord has punished Him for the iniquity of us all.” Oh God – we are still like sheep! Utterly lost with You. Open blind eyes to see Your presence. THANK YOU for the gift of Your Son! He came to find the lost and lead us to a place that we could never find on our own. May Your Truth bring each and every one of us to our knees this week – in surrender, reverence, and gratitude.
INVISIBLE CHURCH: Lord, help me to treasure Your bride as You do. Father, help us to see the centrality of Your church in this broken world. From men and women who were Your enemies, You are assembling a community of born-again worshipers from every tribe, tongue, and nation to proclaim Your matchless wisdom to the world and spiritual realm. All of history will culminate in your Son’s wedding to His beautiful bride. Lord, help us treasure Your bride as You do and pour ourselves out to build her up.
STUDENTS: Peace – Lord, please give our students Your peace. We pray that You will lead them to take every single thing they are worried about to You in prayer, so that Your peace, which passes all understanding, will guard their hearts and minds in You. May they rest in Your goodness and the certainty of Your eternal promises.
SCRIPTURE: Philippians 4:6-7 “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
John 14:27 – “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.”
CARE: “Have you no wish for others to be saved? Then you’re not saved yourself, be sure of that!” -Spurgeon
Let us fervently pray for those who have yet to encounter Christ or who persistently oppose His ways. In a world constantly enticing us towards sin, we must recognize the urgency for those living outside of Christ’s grace.
May our prayers for them be fervent, seeking the opening of their eyes to the Truth, and may God grant us the strength and courage to act upon His will, speaking and doing what He asks of us in reaching out to those in need of salvation.
