KINGDOM PRAYERS FOR THE WEEK OF MARCH 25, 2024

FMC PRAYER: Father, this week we lift up the hearts and minds of our congregation and our desire to pray. May our prayers always be pleasing to You. Continue to open our eyes to see Your Kingdom when we pray. Use us to stand in the gap for others and bring us to our knees when we feel like we can handle things on our own. Let there be revival in our hearts so that our prayer life becomes more about You and less about US.

SUNDAY’S SCRIPTURE: Ephesians 6:10-20

FMC ENDSTATE: Throughout the Tri-State Region & Beyond…freedom and forgiveness overwhelm…forgive us Lord for the things we have done. We are selfish, prideful, haughty, dismissive, and arrogant human beings – and yet You chose to love us and send Your One and Only Son to die in our place – thereby adopting those who believe in His holy name as Your sons and daughters – making us heirs to Your Kingdom. May this knowledge bring us utterly to our knees this week when we display our sinful behaviors. Remind us of the freedom and forgiveness that You have given us through Jesus Christ, Your Son.

Make us BOLD this week Lord. FLOOD our every thought and hold it captive. Build in us a LONGING for Your Kingdom and the opportunity we have to direct the lost to the HOPE of the gospel, put on display through the life and death of Your Son on that cross.

Behold. The Lamb of God….who takes away our sin. The Holy Lamb of God – who made us alive again.

INVISIBLE CHURCH: Lord, may our love greatly adorn the gospel. Father, Your Son said that the love we have for our brothers and sisters will proclaim to the world that we are Your disciples (John 13:34–35). Please deepen our love for one another and make us eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit (Ephesians 4:1-3). Help us care for all, not showing favoritism.
May love compel us to strengthen the weak, bind up the injured, and serve patiently as we remember our service to others is service to You (Matthew 25:31–46). Help us model Your unfathomable love for us in our honoring of one another, and so prove to the watching world that Christ has risen and reigns supreme.

STUDENTS: Companionship of Christ – Father, we pray that our students would experience Your presence and friendship in a new and comforting way this week. We know that You promise to always be with us and we pray that our students would cling to Your nearness as well. We pray that they might know the sweetness of fellowship with You and rest in the assurance that You will never leave them or forsake them.

SCRIPTURE: Joshua 1:9
Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.

CARE:Father, as we navigate the twists and turns of each day, help me to pause and see beyond my own needs and to recognize the struggles and pains of those around me. Grant me the insight to understand the silent cries for help, whether they come from a friend, a neighbor, or a stranger passing by. Give me the patience to listen, really listen, to the stories and worries shared with me, and please give me wisdom to offer comfort and support.

Help me extend a nurturing hand to those who are hurting, whether it’s a warm meal for a tired soul or a gentle hug for a friend in need. Help me to be a beacon of kindness in a world that can often feel harsh and unforgiving. Make me an example, Lord, of what it’s like to reach out to those who are hurting and the joy that comes from giving oneself to obey Your commands rather than my own comfort..

Bless me with the strength to be a source of light and love in a world that so desperately needs it.
