KINGDOM PRAYERS FOR THE WEEK OF MARCH 11, 2024

FMC PRAYER: Lord, we lift up the people who work behind the scenes at our church. Thank You for every volunteer who has devoted themselves to the service of the Kingdom here at Four Mile. Bless them for their obedience and the generosity they have displayed—may more people be drawn to share their gifts and talents because of the example of those who have gone before them. Keep them in an attitude of humility that comes from wisdom and wholehearted service to You rather than a desire for recognition.

SUNDAY’S SCRIPTURE: Ephesians 6:15-16

FMC ENDSTATE: Throughout the Tri-State Region & Beyond…lives and communities are transformed…who are we Lord that You love us and gave up Your One and Only Son so that we might have the opportunity to be reunited with You for eternity. Thank You for the power of Your Spirit and His ability to change lives and communities for generations on end.

Open my eyes this week to see where You are working and give me the words and actions to further Your Kingdom so that more and more of Your children can approach Your throne with humble confidence as we consider the finality of our lives here on earth. May the idea of salt and light consume our every interaction this week.

INVISIBLE CHURCH: Lord, help me to treasure your bride as you do. Father, help us to see the centrality of Your church in this broken world. From men and women who were once Your enemies, You are assembling a community of born-again worshipers from every tribe, tongue, and nation to proclaim Your matchless wisdom to the world and spiritual realm. All of history will culminate in Your Son’s wedding to His beautiful bride. Lord, help us treasure Your bride as You do and pour ourselves out to build her up.

STUDENTS: FAITH + TRUST: Father, help our students to grow in faith and trust. Help them to understand what it means to walk by faith, not by the sight – especially with all the crazy things that are going on around them. We know they will grow in faith by hearing your Word, and so we pray for opportunities to share Your Word with them.

SCRIPTURE: 2 Corinthians 5:7For we walk by faith, not by sight,”

Romans 10:17 So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.

CARE: Father, thank You for the difficult people in my life. As I interact with them this week, please equip me with Jesus’ mentality when He dealt with difficult people here on earth. He used rebuke when necessary (John 8:47), remained silent (John 8:6), asked questions (Mark 11:28–29), pointed them to Scripture (Mark 10:2–3), and related to their situation with a story (Luke 7:40–42).

Please give me a keen perception of my own pride as I exercise my faith in accordance with Your will. Paul says in Romans 12:3: “For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the measure of faith God has given you”

So, when I interact with difficult people this week Lord, gently remind me to approach each encounter with humility and meekness.
