KINGDOM PRAYERS FOR THE WEEK OF AUGUST 14, 2023

FMC PRAYER: Lord, we lift up our children’s ministries to You. Create an atmosphere here that encourages our children to know You. Fill the teachers with a childlike wonder as they expressively remind each child of the marvelous things You have done. May everything they learn about You become a core part of them forever. Open their eyes and ears to know Your voice as You lead and guide them each day. Gently nudge them in the direction of doing the next right thing, for Your Kingdom’s sake.

SUNDAY’S SCRIPTURE: Ephesians 5:3-6

FMC VALUE:Value 1 – Kneel before we run: This value is listed first intentionally. Everything we do must begin from a place of desperation for and dependence on God. We have a race to run, but we must kneel in submission and devotion to God before we begin. Often ministry can become a distraction from our personal walk with the Lord. Soon we’ve sacrificed intimacy for productivity. Instead, our number one priority is to begin everything with prayer and submission flowing from a genuine heart for God.

INVISIBLE CHURCH: Lord, help me to treasure your bride as you do. Father, help us to see the centrality of Your church in this broken world. From men and women who were Your enemies, You are assembling a community of born-again worshipers from every tribe, tongue, and nation to proclaim Your matchless wisdom to the world and spiritual realm. All of history will culminate in your Son’s wedding to his beautiful bride. Lord, help us treasure your bride as you do and pour ourselves out to build her up.

PILLAR: Pillar 6. Reach the Lost (evangelist/bringer) Pray that FMC intentionally chooses greeters with a talent to greet new people & walk alongside them, encourage them, and genuinely engage in conversation that promotes friendship and unity in Christ.

PRACTICE: Acts 20:24 “But I do not account my life of any value nor as precious to myself, if only I may finish my course and the ministry that I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God.”
