KINGDOM PRAYERS FOR THE WEEK OF JANUARY 30, 2022
Vision: To reach the Tri-State Region & Beyond for God’s Kingdom by making fully devoted followers of Jesus.
Pray that everything we do would be done to accomplish this! Pray that we would be willing to set anything that doesn’t help us reach this vision. Pray for the faith to follow the Spirit’s lead, keeping in step with Him each day, personally and corporately.
End state: Throughout the Tri-State Region & Beyond… the Glory of God is honored, intimacy with Jesus is treasured, the Holy Spirit’s fruit ripens in believers’ lives, the holiness of God is revered, the goodness of God is relished, the truth of God is pursued, the faithfulness of God is trusted, the promises of God are believed, the grace of God is cherished, the wrath of God is feared, the commandments of God are obeyed, the lost are found, repentance and gratitude flow, praise and prayer erupt, lives and communities are transformed, love and joy fills hearts, freedom and forgiveness overwhelm, barriers are broken down, the hungry are fed, marriages are restored, families are reunited, and prodigals come home!
Pray that we would see these things come to pass in ever-increasing ways! Pray that we would celebrate each and every moment we see this happening in one another’s lives!
FMC Team Values: Values describe how we will behave as we accomplish our vision, mission, strategy, and end state. Our values are not so much about getting into the endzone, but rather more about HOW we score. Without stating them, the Tri-State Region and FMC should be able to recognize these values by how we behave. FMC has ten team values – we’ll share one each week, simply cycling through them as we pray together.
Pray that no matter who or where or when, that these values would begin to permeate who we are and how we live and serve and love together!
Value 1: Kneel before we run
This value is listed first intentionally. Everything we do must begin from a place of desperation for and dependence on God. We have a race to run, but we must kneel in submission and devotion to God before we begin. Often ministry can become a distraction from our personal walk with the Lord. Soon we’ve sacrificed intimacy for productivity. Instead, our number one priority is to begin everything with prayer and submission flowing from a genuine heart for God. KEY WORDS: DEPENDENCE, PRAYER, WORSHIP
Local missions
Pray for the love of and commitment to the communities in which God has placed us. For God to show us where and how He is at work, so that we might use the gifts and resources He’s given us to be agents of His Kingdom in meaningful, fruitful ways. That God would give us opportunities (and the courage to take advantage of them!) in our neighborhoods, schools, ball fields and workplaces to share the hope and love of Christ in word and deed.
Hope House approval/opening UPDATE
For Judge Ross as he continues to deliberate over the October 22nd hearing – that God would move on his heart and mind, in order that God’s will be done and His Kingdom come, in Midland, as it is in heaven. For the HH Board – that they will continue to humbly and prayerfully seek God’s face and His will and that they would align their own hearts/wills accordingly; that they would be united in their decisions and leadership. For Mandy Baker – that God would form in her, more and more, the likeness of Christ; that she would keep her eyes steadfastly focused on Christ alone; that she would be given the gift of grace for endurance and perseverance; and that she would see God’s gracious and faithful hand at work within and all around her as she seeks to follow after Him. For the women and children who so desperately need a place like the HH – that God would provide for their needs and draw them to Jesus.
