KINGDOM PRAYERS FOR THE
WEEK OF DECEMBER 1, 2025
SERMON TITLE: Jesus Feeds the 5000
SCRIPTURE: John 6: 1-15
FOCUS: Christ provides abundantly with abundant grace.
FMC PRAYER: Lord, this week we lift up Your servant, our pastor, David Lyle. Strengthen him as a shepherd who leads with wisdom, humility, and genuine connection to his flock. Let the encouragement of the gospel fill him with joy, renew his love for the people he’s been called to guide, and fuel his leadership with grace. Keep his heart anchored in Your truth. Teach him Your ways so that he may know You more deeply and lead us with clarity, compassion, and integrity. May his words and actions reflect Christ plainly as he walks faithfully in the calling You have placed on his life.
ENDSTATE: Throughout the Tri-State Region & Beyond…the commandments of God are obeyed…Lord, we know that true obedience to Your commandments begins with knowing Your Word deeply. Because You first loved us – and revealed that love through Christ’s perfect obedience – we can learn, understand, and live out what You command. Jesus taught us the heart of the law:
“You shall love the Lord your God with ALL YOUR HEART and with ALL YOUR SOUL and with ALL YOUR MIND. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF.” -Jesus (Matthew 22:36–38)
Father, as we study Scripture and walk through the situations You place before us, shape us into people who choose Your ways over our own. Let these words and Christ’s example be etched into our hearts and minds, guiding us to live out love through obedience each day.
FMC VALUES: Vision: To Reach the Tri-State Region + Beyond for God’s Kingdom by making fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ!
Lord, give us hearts on fire for this mission! Help us do everything with this vision in mind—and give us the courage to lay aside anything that slows us down. Strengthen our faith so we joyfully follow the Spirit’s lead, step by step, day by day—together as Your people.
May we move with purpose, unity, and boldness as we reach our region for Christ!
INVISIBLE CHURCH: Lord, teach us to celebrate the gift of being part of Your family – living in unity, serving with excitement, and walking in the peace Christ purchased for us. Fill us with a fresh joy that comes from knowing our eternity with You is secure. Cultivate in us a humble spirit that seeks the good of others before ourselves. Stir up joyful anticipation for the eternity we will share with You, and let that hope shape how we live today. Strengthen the weary, humble the proud, and knit our community together in genuine love. May Your Church be a bright, unified, joy-filled testimony of Your grace and the glory that awaits all who belong to You.
STUDENTS: FAITH + TRUST: Father, help our students grasp the beauty and power of the gospel so that it strengthens their hearts. Let Your truth be clear and encouraging – something they can lean on when life feels confusing or overwhelming. Teach them what it truly means to walk by faith and not just by what they see, and give them ears eager to hear Your Word and minds ready to understand it. Lord, open doors for them to share that same life-giving message with their friends, so their faith grows deeper as they pass on the hope they’ve found in You.
CARE: Lord, please bless our seniors in their every day ordinary lives – with companionship, health, happiness, and JOY in their golden years. May they feel valued and cherished for the wisdom they carry. Grant them the strength to continue their journey with dignity, grace, and patience. Thank You for our seniors Lord – may Your glory shine in their lives each and every day until they are called home – to Your glorious name be all the praise.
