KINGDOM PRAYERS FOR THE
WEEK OF OCTOBER 13, 2025

SERMON TITLE: The Axe Head Recovered

SCRIPTURE: 2 Kings 6: 1-7

FOCUS: God is sovereign over the smallest details of our lives; His providential care saves His people.

FMC PRAYER: Freedom from Sin – Father, when I see my sin for what it truly is, it grieves me deeply — the way it dishonors You and gives the enemy room to scheme against me day after day. Yet even in my failure, Your grace breaks through, washing me clean through the sacrifice of Your Son. Remind me that only by His blood can I stand forgiven, not by any effort of my own. Help me to be honest with myself, to confess what’s real in my heart, and to resist the urge to judge others who are walking through their own sanctification. May my sin not hold me back from stepping out when You call me to act this week.

ENDSTATE: Throughout the Tri-State Region & Beyond…the holiness of God is revered…God, You are absolute perfection. A concept that our minds will never fully understand until we stand in Your presence. Your very being is completely absent of sin (James 1:13). You are high above any other, and no one can compare to You (Psalm 40:5). Your holiness shapes all Your attributes. Your love is a holy love, Your mercy is a holy mercy, and even Your anger and wrath are holy. These are difficult concepts for us to understand, but we trust in Your faithfulness and ask for Your continual help – each and every day.

FMC VALUES: Value 4 – Embrace the hill: Runners often dread hills along their route, seeing them as places to slow down. But a strong, united team views the hill as a moment to lean in together — to encourage one another, match each other’s pace, and push forward as one. In the same way, we know challenges and opposition will come as we pursue our God-given vision. When they do, we’ll face them shoulder to shoulder, choosing joy and unity over fear or frustration. Together, we’ll see every hill as a chance to grow stronger and take ground for the Kingdom.

INVISIBLE CHURCH: Lord, thank You for the gifts and talents You’ve entrusted to me — not for my own recognition, but for the strengthening of Your church and the good of Your people. Forgive me for all of the times I’ve made church about me (my comfort, my convenience, my preferences) instead of how I might love and encourage the members of Your church. Teach me to step out of my comfort zone and use what You’ve placed in me to build up the body and bring joy to the saints.

STUDENTS: FIGHT THE GOOD FIGHT – Lord, we pray for the students as they wrestle with the Truth of the gospel and the deceptive ways of this world. We ask for protection as they are constantly bombarded with the comparative nature of social media and pray that Your Truth would penetrate their hearts. Strengthen them as they fight the good fight of faith, day in and day out.

CARE: Lord, bless our OWLS in our lives with companionship, health, happiness, and JOY in their golden years. We are all in different stages of life, and this week, may we marvel and appreciate the beauty of Your plan in uniting us all under the sacrifice and love of Your Son. May Your OWLS always feel valued and cherished for the wisdom they carry. We ask that You grant them the strength to continue their journey with dignity, grace, and patience. May Your glory shine in their lives every day until they are called home.
