KINGDOM PRAYERS FOR THE
WEEK OF SEPTEMBER 29, 2025
SERMON TITLE: Naaman Healed of Leprosy
SCRIPTURE: 2 Kings 5: 1-14
FOCUS: Salvation is open to all (Jew & Gentile) who place their faith in God. Being a fully devoted follower means we obey the Lord even when God’s way doesn’t make sense to us.
FMC PRAYER: Lord, we lift up the marriages here at FMC. May they be honoring to You and Your design for marriage so that generations may be blessed through their obedience. It’s so easy to be selfish and hurt in this broken world – strengthen us to love one another as You have loved us – selflessly and continually. Strengthen the hearts and minds of Your children as they seek to live out the calling You have placed on them through submission and reverence to one another for the sake of Christ – just as He submitted to the You for the sake of the Church. May generations be blessed because of our obedience.
ENDSTATE: Throughout the Tri-State Region & Beyond… intimacy with Jesus is treasured…the Savior of the world, humbly submitted, fully surrendered – for those who would reject and scorn Him. Jesus, thank you for Your sacrifice and the promised hope of salvation for all of those who put their faith in You. Remind us today what a blessing it is to know You and what a lonely state we would be in without Your presence. Open blind eyes this week so that those who are walking in darkness may see and experience true intimacy with the One who made and knows them completely. Thank You for continually walking us through this life.
FMC VALUES: Value 2 – Sharpen the Axe: Abraham Lincoln said, “Give me six hours to chop down a tree and I will spend the first four hours sharpening the axe.” Achieving our vision is a massive undertaking, and to see it realized, we must become effective tools for God’s Kingdom. We must maintain our health and wellness spiritually, emotionally, physically, intellectually, and relationally. We must also constantly be learning and growing to increase our effectiveness over time.
INVISIBLE CHURCH: Lord, deepen my faith and joy in the glories of Your gospel. Father, You know the multitude of sin I have committed in my life and even this past week. Open the eyes of my heart to see the glorious hope You have given me in Christ Jesus. Reveal to me Your love for all of the saints and the power of Your Holy Spirit to those who believe. Cause my heart to burn within me as You speak to me through Your Word each day.
STUDENTS: Jesus, please help our students rest in You, knowing that You have overcome this world. When the cares of their hearts are many, may Your consolation cheer their souls, and fill them with power, love, and self-control – which we all desperately need. When they pass through deep waters and endure fiery trials, we pray they will feel Your presence with them as steady and sure as the breath in their lungs.
CARE: Lord, guide me in acts of kindness, both big and small, this week. Let me be a source of warmth and positivity to those I encounter. As I go about my day, direct me to find opportunities where I can make a difference in the lives of others for Your glory alone – be that through a smile, a helping hand, or a kind word. Open the eyes of the lost so that through these acts of kindness, Your unfathomable love and care might be deeply felt and lives be forever changed. Thank You for the opportunity to spread Your love through simple acts of caring.
