KINGDOM PRAYERS FOR THE
WEEK OF SEPTEMBER 22, 2025
SERMON TITLE: Elisha Purifies the Deadly Stew: Feed 100
SCRIPTURE: 2 Kings 4: 38-44
FOCUS: Salvation unfolds at a personal level – God is the only One who can save. Daily bread matters to God.
FMC PRAYER: Father, thank You for the promise of our eternal home, a hope greater than anything we could ever imagine. You created us for this glory before the foundation of the world, and we long to live with hearts fixed on that promise. Give us a faith-filled imagination that brings the hope of heaven into our everyday lives, so that we may reflect Your presence here and now. Thank You for Jesus, who makes this hope possible.
ENDSTATE: Throughout the Tri-State Region & Beyond… the Glory of God is honored…Lord, remind us each day how important it is to keep our eyes focused on the One thing that matters – Your Glory Alone. May Your name be honored in our households as we put off everything that distracts us and draws our attention elsewhere. Thank You for the new mercies You give us each and every day, may we not waste the opportunities that You set before us.
FMC VALUES: Value 1 – Kneel before we run: This value is listed first intentionally. Everything we do as a church must begin from a place of desperation and dependence on God’s glory alone. We have a race to run, but we must kneel in submission and devotion to God before we begin. Ministry often becomes a distraction from our personal walk with the Lord – and soon, we’ve sacrificed intimacy for productivity. Instead, our number one priority needs to begin with prayer and submission – and hearts that genuinely reflect God’s personal craftmanship in our lives and character.
INVISIBLE CHURCH: Heavenly Father, reveal to me the wonders of Your Word through the illuminating power of Your Holy Spirit. As You spoke the world into existence, please continue to speak new life into Your children today. Give us knowledge as we look to the glory of Your Son on display. Give us grace to believe, rejoice in, and obey Your Word. And convict us of our sin so that we might hate it as much as You do! May the weak be strengthened, the strong be humbled, and the Church be continually built up!
STUDENTS: Holy Spirit, set a fire in the hearts of our students and adult leaders! Fill them with a sense of purpose and adventure. Guide, protect, sanctify, and unite them so that a whole new generation of youth may rise up in Jesus’ name…all for Your glory.
CARE: Jesus, thank You for the difficult people in my life. As I interact with them this week, please equip me with Your mentality when You dealt with difficult people here on earth. Give me words to rebuke when necessary (John 8:47), remain silent when needed (John 8:6), ask questions when prompted (Mark 11:28–29), and point others to the Truth found in Your Word (Mark 10:2–3).
Please give me a keen perception of my own pride as I exercise my faith in accordance with Your will so that when I interact with these difficult people I might be reminded to approach each encounter with humility and meekness.
