KINGDOM PRAYERS FOR THE
WEEK OF JULY 14, 2025

SERMON TITLE: Naboth’s Vineyard

SCRIPTURE: 1 Kings 21

FOCUS: God checks corrupt power through His divine judgment in His perfect timing. Humility stays His judgment.

SEEKING GOD’S WILL: Lord God, in a world where power demands its way and selfishness disguises itself as reason, we come to You, not with our demands, but in submission to Your perfect will. Like Naboth, help us to treasure what You have entrusted to us—Your Word, Your ways, Your inheritance. Teach us to say “no” to the things that seem practical but conflict with Your truth. When we are tempted to throw spiritual tantrums over denied desires, still our souls. We see the devastation of misplaced desire all around us: wars fought over land, greed that drives exploitation, and families torn apart by selfish ambition. Guide us through the noise, Lord and inspire us to seek not what we want—but what You want. Let Your Kingdom come, and Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.

FOCUS ON GOD’S GLORY: Holy Father, in a world so eager to use Your name for manipulation and gain, may we never be found cloaking sin in the appearance of righteousness. You are not fooled by hollow fasts or outward displays of faith. As wildfires burn across continents, as floods displace thousands in India, as families weep in the aftermath of mass shootings and famine, let Your glory rise—not through power plays or polished appearances, but through lives truly surrendered to You. May Your church shine with authentic obedience and radical generosity. Let the world see Your glory through our humility, truth, and love. Burn away every selfish ambition in us until only Your glory remains.

INTERCESSION FOR OTHERS: Merciful God, we lift up the broken, the falsely accused, the ones trampled by injustice. Just as Naboth’s blood cried out from the soil, so today the blood of innocent children cries from war-torn lands, from migrant camps on borders, and from the streets of forgotten neighborhoods. Father, defend the powerless. Uplift the weary. Let justice roll down like waters and righteousness like an ever-flowing stream. We intercede for the vulnerable, and for the ones carrying hidden grief. Send us to be their comfort, their voice, their advocate. Raise up leaders who fear You more than power. And may Your justice—tempered with mercy—bring healing to our bleeding world.

HUMILITY AND REPENTANCE: Lord of Mercy, we confess that our hearts are often no better than Ahab’s—selling ourselves to lesser loves, idolizing convenience and resisting Your truth; but when confronted, he tore his clothes, and You—God of compassion—responded. So we come to You right now, undone. Search us, O God, and know our hearts. Lead us back from every crooked path we’ve taken in pride. We repent for the ways we’ve ignored Your Word, for how we’ve justified sin or silenced conviction. As hurricanes ravage coastlines, as heat waves claim lives, as systems of injustice thrive—may we not grow numb. Humble us so deeply that Your mercy finds space to flourish. We thank You for Christ, who bore our judgment so that we may walk daily in repentance and gratitude.

SPIRITUAL WARFARE: Almighty Warrior King, we praise You as the God who sees in secret and thunders in righteousness. No scheme of Jezebel, no hidden corruption, no spiritual oppression escapes Your gaze. Today, we take up the armor of God against the darkness that seeks to devour: lies disguised as truth, compromise dressed as culture, fear that silences Your people. We pray against the powers of darkness that fuel violence, division, and deception across the globe. We long to see Your kingdom advance! Empower Your people with boldness like Elijah—to stand in truth, to speak with courage, to confront evil not with hatred but with holy conviction. Protect Your church, strengthen our resolve, and crush the enemy beneath Your feet. We will not fear—You are our Defender, our Deliverer, and our Victory.
