KINGDOM PRAYERS FOR THE
WEEK OF JUNE 9, 2025
FMC PRAYER: Lord, help us to see our own sin the same way that You do and immediately turn from the desires of our flesh. Thank You that sin was done away with on the cross and that we are no longer slaves to it. Help us to throw off everything that entangles and hinders us so that we may run our race with perseverance, strength, and joy in Your presence with us.
SUNDAY’S SCRIPTURE: 1 Kings 18:20-40; The Prophets of Baal Defeated
FMC ENDSTATE: Throughout the Tri-State Region & Beyond…the holiness of God is revered…God, You are absolute perfection. A concept that our minds will never fully understand until we stand in Your presence. You are absent of sin. You are high above any other, and no one can compare to You. Your holiness shapes all Your attributes. Your love is a holy love, Your mercy is a holy mercy, and even Your anger and wrath are holy. We trust in Your faithfulness and ask for Your continual help – each and every day.
MISSIONS: Lord, thank you for the opportunity to serve Your people in the Dominican Republic. Thank You for calling us to be Your hands and feet, to walk alongside communities whose strength and resilience inspire us daily. As we step into places marked by material poverty, let us not come with pride or pity, but with open hearts and willing spirits. Teach us to see with Your eyes – eyes that recognize dignity in every face, and beauty in every soul, regardless of circumstance. As we build homes, share meals, teach children, and listen to stories, shape our character. Strip away our comfort and selfishness. Replace it with compassion that costs something, patience that endures, and a love that reflects Christ. Let this mission work not only bless those we serve but transform us—softening our hearts, stretching our faith, and deepening our gratitude. May our presence bring encouragement, not dependency; partnership, not pity; and most of all, may we be vessels of Your grace and truth.
INVISIBLE CHURCH: 2 Timothy 4:3-5 “For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions, and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander off into myths. As for you, always be sober-minded, endure suffering, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.”
STUDENTS: In a world shouting so many lies about who we are and what gives us worth, we lift up this generation of young people to You. You are the God who created them with purpose, who formed them in love, and who calls them by name. Let their hearts be rooted not in what culture says, not in fleeting feelings or confusion, but in the unshakable truth that they are Yours. Lord, speak louder than the voices of comparison, insecurity, and pressure. Silence the lies that say they are not enough, that they must change to be accepted, or that their worth depends on likes, status, or performance. Remind them that in Christ, they are fully known and fully loved. They are chosen, redeemed, and made new. Give them courage, Lord—not the kind that comes from pride or rebellion, but the courage that comes from knowing who they are in You. May they be strong in Your Name and in the power of Your might. Teach them that their emotions, while real, are not their truth—Your Word is. Anchor them in Scripture, in prayer, and in the love of a Savior who never changes.
