KINGDOM PRAYERS FOR THE
WEEK OF JUNE 2, 2025
FMC PRAYER: Help for the Hurting – Lord, we lift up those who are hurting right now. May they come to know You as El Roi, the God who sees them. For every situation of rejection, help them to remember their place in Your Kingdom – as Your beloved children. Bind up the brokenhearted! In every area of bondage, set the captives free; in every case of mourning, replace it with Your oil of gladness. Comfort them so that they will have a ministry of comfort to others.
SUNDAY’S SCRIPTURE: 1 Kings 18:1-19; Elijah Confront Ahab
FMC ENDSTATE: Throughout the Tri-State Region & Beyond…the Holy Spirit’s fruit ripens in believers’ lives…Lord, as the fruit of Your Spirit ripens in our lives, may we grow into mature and fruitful disciples – who in turn make mature and fruitful disciples for Your Kingdom. Just as You called Elijah to stand boldly before Ahab and confront the idolatry of his time, give us the courage to speak truth, stand for righteousness, and call others back to You. Awaken our hearts to be attuned to Your Spirit, that we may discern Your purposes clearly and repent when our paths stray into compromise or sin. May our obedience open the way for Your glory to be revealed and for generations to be blessed by Your unchanging faithfulness.
MISSIONS: Heavenly Father, we thank You for the example of Obadiah – a man who feared You deeply and walked in integrity, even in a time of great danger. Though surrounded by evil and working under a corrupt king, he remained faithful and used his position to protect those in need. Lord, give us hearts like Obadiah’s – brave in the face of fear, steadfast in obedience, and willing to risk comfort or reputation for the sake of righteousness. Help us to see the vulnerable around us and, like Obadiah, take bold steps to shelter, support, and protect them, even when it costs us something. Fill us with Your wisdom and discernment, that we might recognize the opportunities You place before us to act with courage and compassion. May our quiet faithfulness and bold obedience bring glory to Your name and hope to those in hiding, waiting for deliverance.
INVISIBLE CHURCH: Galatians 5:22-23 “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.”
STUDENTS: Lord, we pray that You will grant our students love for one another; joy in the midst of chaos; peace that surpasses all understanding; patience as they constantly deal with change; kindness to those around them; goodness for You alone are good; gentleness as they remember Christ’s humanity and how He treated those around Him; and self-control as they put on the armor of God every day.
CARE: Let us fervently pray for those who have yet to encounter Christ or who persistently oppose His ways. In a world constantly enticing us towards sin, we must recognize the urgency for those living outside of Christ’s grace. May our prayers for them be fervent, seeking the opening of their eyes to the Truth, and may God grant us the strength and courage to act upon His will, speaking and doing what He asks of us in reaching out to those in need of salvation.
