KINGDOM PRAYERS FOR THE
WEEK OF MAY 26, 2025

FMC PRAYER: Lord, we lift up the marriages here at FMC. May they be honoring to You and Your design for marriage so that generations may be blessed through their obedience. It’s so easy to be selfish and hurt in this broken world – strengthen us to love one another as You have loved us – selflessly and continually. Strengthen the hearts and minds of Your children as they seek to live our the calling You have placed on them through submission and reverence to one another for the sake of Christ – just as He submitted to the You for the sake of the Church. May generations be blessed because of our obedience.

SUNDAY’S SCRIPTURE: 1 Kings 17; Exhortation

FMC ENDSTATE: Throughout the Tri-State Region & Beyond…intimacy with Jesus is treasured…like Elijah by the brook in 1 Kings 17, teach me to trust You in the quiet places, where no one sees but You. Help me value intimacy with You above everything else, even when life feels dry or uncertain. May Your Spirit direct how I speak – words full of grace, kindness, and truth – and in how I live each day, especially in front of the people who know me best. I don’t want my faith to be just something I say, but something seen in small, faithful steps of obedience. Make me like the widow who gave all she had, trusting You to provide. Shape my lifestyle to reflect a heart anchored in You – steady, generous, and surrendered. Lord, You are my Treasure. Draw me close so that everything in my life flows from being near to You.

INVISIBLE CHURCH: Lord, help me use the gifts and opportunities You’ve given me to build others up. Teach me to put others first and to humbly serve with the spiritual gifts You’ve trusted me with. Guide my conversations and interactions this week so that others are encouraged and You are glorified. Show me who to talk to, where to be, and how to share Your Word in ways that lift others up. Let me be a source of encouragement and hope, especially as we see the Day of Your return drawing near.

MISSIONS: Lord, teach me to use my time wisely and live with purpose, especially around those who don’t know You. Let my words carry Your truth with love and my actions point others straight to You. Help me depend fully on You, not my own strength, as I seek to reflect Your heart. When I need to realign, lead me to fast and focus so I can hear You clearly. Show me anything I’m holding onto that keeps me from loving people the way You do. Make me generous – with my time, my resources, and my compassion – so that others see Your goodness in my life. Use the ordinary parts of my day to draw hearts closer to You.

STUDENTS: May our students gain wisdom beyond their years to discern Your will in their lives. Teach them to seek You in prayer, in the Word, and in every moment, so that their faith may grow strong and unshakable. When doubts arise, remind them of Your promises. When challenges come, give them the strength to trust that You are their refuge and their help.

CARE: As Charles Spurgeon once said, “If you want to give a hungry man a gospel tract, wrap it in a sandwich.” Open my eyes this week to see how my care for others can be practical, not just spoken. Help me meet real needs with real love, showing others that Your grace is not just a message – it’s a way of life.

Make me more like You, Jesus – present, kind, and full of mercy. Use me today to be a light in someone’s darkness, a friend in someone’s loneliness, and a reminder that they are seen and loved.
