KINGDOM PRAYERS FOR THE
WEEK OF MAY 5, 2025
FMC PRAYER: In a world filled with shifting opinions and fleeting feelings, anchor us in the unchanging truth of the gospel. Help us to see beyond our limited understanding, and to trust not in what we feel or fear, but in what You have spoken. Your Word is truth. It tells us who You are, who we are, and what You have done for us through Christ. When our hearts are tempted to believe the lies of this world—or even the lies we tell ourselves—remind us of the cross, where love and truth met, and where our freedom was secured. May our lives be shaped by what is eternally true, not what is temporarily seen. Root us deeply in Scripture, that we may live with clarity, courage, and conviction.
SUNDAY’S SCRIPTURE: 1 Kings 17:8-16; The Widow of Zarephath
FMC ENDSTATE: Throughout the Tri-State Region & Beyond…families are reunited – Today, we lift up the broken, the distant, and the hurting. We ask You to bring healing and restoration to families separated by pain and misunderstanding.
We pray for a deep and genuine love to be restored in every home—a love that reflects the love You have shown us in Christ. A love that does not ignore truth, but is built on it. A love that speaks honestly, seeks reconciliation, and chooses grace over offense.
INVISIBLE CHURCH: May Four Mile Church be a living reflection of the invisible Church – holy, set apart, deeply rooted in truth, and ablaze with love for You and for our neighbor. Use us, Lord, as part of Your greater story, until the day when all Your people are gathered together in glory.
MISSIONS: You have placed us exactly where we are for a purpose—to be salt and light in the communities around us. Open our eyes to the mission fields right in front of us. Teach us to see people not as interruptions, but as opportunities to show Your love. Help us to live with intention, to speak with grace, and to act with compassion. Remind us that mission is not always about going far—it’s about being faithful right where we are.
STUDENTS: Lord, plant our students deeply in Your truth. In a world that pulls them in many directions, help them to find their identity in You alone. Surround them with people who speak life, truth, and grace. Place mentors, friends, and communities in their paths that point them back to Your Word and Your love.
CARE: You are the God of compassion, who sees the hurting, comforts the weary, and draws near to the brokenhearted. Thank You for caring for us so deeply and personally. May Your love shape our hearts so that we may care for others as You care for us. Remind us that caring for others is not optional—it is the very heartbeat of our faith. You told us that whatever we do for the least of these, we do for You. So help us, Lord, to be generous with our time, our resources, and our compassion. Let our church be known as a place of mercy, where burdens are shared, needs are met, and no one walks alone. In every act of kindness, may people see a glimpse of Your grace and be drawn to the hope we have in Jesus.
