KINGDOM PRAYERS FOR THE
WEEK OF APRIL 28, 2025
FMC PRAYER: Thank You Lord, for the spiritual gifts You have placed within FMC. “There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit distributes them. There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord. There are different kinds of working, but in all of them and in everyone it is the same God at work. Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good.” (1 Corinthians 12:4-7) Teach us to use what we’ve received to serve others and faithfully administer Your loving grace through our thoughts and actions. Help us exercise our gifts in love and remind us to keep fanning into flame the gifts You’ve entrusted to us.
SUNDAY’S SCRIPTURE: 1 Kings 17:1-7; Elijah Predicts A Drought
FMC ENDSTATE: Throughout the Tri-State Region & Beyond…marriages are restored…forgive us Lord for the prideful and disrespectful attitude we often portray in our marriages and restore our commitment back to its purest form when vows were made. Teach us again to humbly love our spouse in the same way that Christ loved the church and gave Himself up for her. What a beautiful example of love and surrender. Your Word reminds us – “Wives, submit to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord. Husbands, love your wives, and do not be harsh with them.” Colossians 3:18-19. And 1 Peter 4:8 – “Above all, keep loving one another EARNESTLY, since love covers a multitude of sins.” Love, forgiveness, grace, and mercy. What amazing gifts. Restore our marriages and bring Glory to Your Name alone!
INVISIBLE CHURCH: Lord, equip us for our mission on this earth. We know that we are not saved by our good works, but FOR good works (Ephesians 2:8-10). Focus our hearts on the mission You have for us – to share the gospel and make disciples. Remind us how our marriages, family lives, work, and hobbies can be avenues to manifest the gospel’s heavenly work in our every day ordinary life. Use our time as your gathered body to build us up and send us out to minister to this broken world.
MISSIONS: For those who live near us, may we build strong communities of care and support. Let us reach out to those who are lonely, help those who are in need, and lift up those who are burdened. May our homes and hearts be places where love flows freely, and may we be sources of peace in our neighborhoods.
STUDENTS: Lord, please give our students Your peace. We pray that You will lead them to take every single thing they are worried about to You in prayer, so that Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, will guard their hearts and minds in You. May they rest in Your goodness and the certainty of Your eternal promises.
CARE: Father, thank You for the challenging people You’ve placed in my life. As I interact with them this week, I ask that You please equip me with the same mindset that Jesus displayed when He dealt with difficult individuals. He knew when to rebuke, when to remain silent, when to ask questions, when to point others to Scripture, and when to connect with them through stories.
Help me to recognize and guard against my own pride as I seek to walk in faith according to Your will. Paul reminds us in Romans 12:3, “For by the grace given me, I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the measure of faith God has given you.”
So, as I encounter difficult people this week, please remind me to approach each situation with humility and grace, reflecting Your heart of meekness and patience.
