KINGDOM PRAYERS FOR THE WEEK OF AUGUST 29, 2022

FMC PRAYER: Lord, help me worship you with an undistracted heart. Put aside the worries of the upcoming week and remember WHO it is you are worshipping, where He has placed you, and your purpose in being there. May your heart, soul, mind, and strength exalt the Father in your singing, listening, and interactions with people this week.

SUNDAY’S SCRIPTURE: Ephesians 3: 7-9 “Of this gospel I was made a minister according to the gift of God’s grace, which was given me by the working of his power. To me, though I am the very least of all the saints, this grace was given, to preach to the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ, and to bring to light for everyone what is the plan of the mystery hidden for ages in God, who created all things,”

FMC TEAM VALUES: Value 5 – Wash Windows: The heart of this value is humility and ownership. No one at FMC is too good to wash windows – or even someone else’s feet for that matter. Each FMC leader must own every piece of FMC (right down to the windows). This kind of ownership leads to excellence. If you see something and think, “Someone should do something about that,” then that someone is you! Always try to see through the eyes of a guest and never think, “That’s not my problem.” We must constantly be striving to improve the things we see around us. All of us must be willing to engage in the menial tasks down to washing our windows.

OUTREACH: That Christ-centered relationships would flourish in the church:

“Love from the center of who you are; don’t fake it. Run for dear life from evil; hold on for dear life to good. Be good friends who love deeply; practice playing second fiddle.” Romans 12:9-10

Pray, church, that we would be uncompromising in our commitment to love one another as Christ has loved us; that we would speak the truth in love to one another; that we would forgive quickly and completely; that we would guard our hearts and the words that come out of our mouths; that we would seek one another’s good before our own; that we would be people of abundant grace; that we would generously and selflessly serve one another – for our great good and God’s great glory.

PILLAR: Pillar 10: Grateful Hearts (thankful/merciful/charitable/generous) Pray for the awareness and experience of gratitude regarding God’s grace and mercy in your life. Awareness that compels us to extend grace and mercy to others.

SCRIPTURE: Ephesians 5:18-20 “And do not get drunk with wine, for that is debauchery, but be filled with the Spirit, addressing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody to the Lord with your heart, giving thanks always and for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ,”
