Kingdom Prayers

KINGDOM PRAYERS FOR THE WEEK OF JANUARY 16, 2022

Mission: Take our next steps toward Christ, together!

Pray that everything we do would be done to accomplish this! Pray for the faith to follow the Spirit’s lead, keeping in step with Him each day, personally and corporately.

End state: Throughout the Tri-State Region & Beyond… the Glory of God is honored, intimacy with Jesus is treasured, the Holy Spirit’s fruit ripens in believers’ lives, the holiness of God is revered, the goodness of God is relished, the truth of God is pursued, the faithfulness of God is trusted, the promises of God are believed, the grace of God is cherished, the wrath of God is feared, the commandments of God are obeyed, the lost are found, repentance and gratitude flow, praise and prayer erupt, lives and communities are transformed, love and joy fills hearts, freedom and forgiveness overwhelm, barriers are broken down, the hungry are fed, marriages are restored, families are reunited, and prodigals come home!

Pray that we would see these things come to pass in ever-increasing ways! Pray that we would celebrate each and every moment we see this happening in one another’s lives!

FMC Team Values: Values describe how we will behave as we accomplish our vision, mission, strategy, and end state. Our values are not so much about getting into the endzone, but rather more about HOW we score. Without stating them, the Tri-State Region and FMC should be able to recognize these values by how we behave. FMC has ten team values – we’ll share one each week, simply cycling through them as we pray together.

Pray that no matter who or where or when, that these values would begin to permeate who we are and how we live and serve and love together!

Value 9: Take it on the chin

As FMC team members, we’re not going to make excuses. Instead, we will own whatever feedback, criticism, or issue has arisen. We will take responsibility, apologize if needed, and act to remedy any shortcomings rather than trying to escape from ownership even in the face of problems and challenges. Not only will each of us be open to feedback and constructive criticism; we will actively invite it. And when we give feedback, we will do it with grace.

KEY WORDS: RESPONSIBILITY, FEEDBACK, THICK-SKINNED

A Healthy Fear of the Lord

The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. Proverbs 9:10

Praise the LORD! Blessed is the man who fears the LORD, who finds great delight in His commands. Psalm 112:1

Pray that a healthy fear of the LORD would be the foundation on which our lives and faith are built – personally and corporately; that we would continually seek to humble ourselves under His mighty hand; that we would know that He is our wisdom, our knowledge, our delight, and that there is no greater blessing than walking in His ways.

Local missions

For the love of and commitment to the communities in which God has placed us. For God to show us where and how He is at work, so that we might use the gifts and resources He’s given us to be agents of His Kingdom in meaningful, fruitful ways. That God would give us opportunities (and the courage to take advantage of them!) in our neighborhoods, schools, ball fields and workplaces to share the hope and love of Christ in word and deed.

Student ministry (babies through 18)

Pray that over the next 3 to 5 years, God grows a united student ministry all across Beaver County, even as we use the more immediate Beaver area as our starting point. Pray for Wes and Kristin Schools as they lead that ministry effort. Pray for Courtney Bowers as she continues to serve as our Children’s Ministry Director here at church. Pray that churches would unite around the Kingdom and a mutual desire to see the next generations reached for Christ. Pray that God would raise up adults who have a love for students of all ages and a desire to be poured out for the Gospel on their behalf. Pray that God would raise up Christ-following students who will love their fellow class- and teammates, who will pray for them and share God’s Word and love with them.
