Kingdom Prayers

FMC PRAYER: Lord, lead me to treasure your bride as you do – in all humility and gentleness. Father, your Son’s bride often gets a bad rap, and assembling together can seem like a drag – may that not be so!! Physical appearances not only betray spiritual reality, but they also fail to grasp the centrality of the church in your eternal purposes for this world. From men and women who were your enemies, you are assembling a community of born-again worshipers from every tribe, tongue, and nation to proclaim your matchless wisdom to the world and spiritual realm. All of history will culminate in your Son’s wedding to his beautiful bride. Lord, help me treasure your bride as you do and humbly pour myself out to build her up.

SUNDAY’S SCRIPTURE: Ephesians 4:1-3 “I therefore, a prisoner for the Lord, urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.”

FMC TEAM VALUES: Value 10 – Play Motion Offense: In basketball, motion offense is a fluid approach where the players are always moving and always aware of where each other are. It only works if the team is in tune maintaining complete awareness. We want our team to be anticipating each other’s moves and needs even before they happen. We will fight against silos and work to complement what other team members are doing.

OUTREACH: Bridgewater Presbyterian Church in Beaver: Pray for our brothers and sisters in Beaver as they seek to serve their community in Christ-exalting ways. Pray for Samson Covatch as he leads them. Pray that God would give us opportunities to partner with them in the Gospel and that God would use them (and us!) mightily in the advancement of HIS Kingdom.

PILLAR: Pillar 4. Praise and Adore God (praise/expressive/joy) FMC uses lighting wisely to promote context, mood, and focus; images complement lyrics, message, and tone.

APPLICATION: Practice: Like the Spotify playlist on FMC’s Sunday Morning Worship playlist and listen to it in your car this week as you drive around.
