KINGDOM PRAYERS FOR THE
WEEK OF OCTOBER 06, 2025
SERMON TITLE: Gehazi’s Greed & Punishment
SCRIPTURE: 2 Kings 5:15-27
FOCUS: There are consequences for straying from the straight edge of truth. Grace is both marvelous & dangerous (salvation is by grace + nothing).
FMC PRAYER: Help for the Hurting – Lord, we lift up those who are hurting right now. May they come to know You as El Roi, the God who sees them. For every situation of rejection, help them to remember their place in Your Kingdom – as Your beloved children. Bind up the brokenhearted! In every area of bondage, set the captives free; in every case of mourning, replace it with Your oil of gladness. Comfort them so that they will have a ministry of comfort to others.
ENDSTATE: Throughout the Tri-State Region & Beyond…the Holy Spirit’s fruit ripens in believers’ lives…Lord, we want to be effective for Your kingdom, constantly growing as mature and fruitful disciples – making mature and fruitful disciples! Awaken our senses so that they become better attuned to Your Spirit. May generations be blessed because of our obedience and Your eternal faithfulness.
FMC VALUES: Value 3 – Stretch it out: We want our team to be agile and athletic, quickly and effectively responding to the unexpected and spontaneous. In fact, we want to move beyond being okay with change and leverage change as a tool that helps us accomplish our mission. Along with this speed and flexibility, we need to embrace candid feedback and evaluation so we can be even more effective the next time around.
INVISIBLE CHURCH: Lord, help me to treasure Your bride as You do. Father, help us to see the centrality of Your church in this broken world. From men and women who were once Your enemies, You are now assembling a community of born-again worshipers from every tribe, tongue, and nation to proclaim Your matchless wisdom to the world and spiritual realm. All of history will culminate in Your Son’s wedding to His beautiful bride. Lord, help us treasure Your bride as You do and pour ourselves out to build her up.
STUDENTS: FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT: Lord, we pray that You will grant our students love for one another; joy in the midst of chaos; peace that surpasses all understanding; patience as they constantly deal with change; kindness to those around them; goodness for You alone are good; gentleness as they remember Christ’s humanity and how He treated those around Him; and self-control as they put on the armor of God every day.
CARE: Father, as we navigate the twists and turns of each day, help me pause and see beyond my own needs and recognize the struggles and pains of those around me. Grant me the insight to understand the silent cries for help, whether they come from a friend, a neighbor, or a stranger passing by. Give me the patience to listen, really listen, to the stories and worries shared with me, and please give me wisdom to offer comfort and support. Help me extend a nurturing hand to those who are hurting, and be a beacon of kindness in a world that can often feel harsh and unforgiving. Please bless me with the strength to be a source of light and love in a world that so desperately needs it.
