KINGDOM PRAYERS FOR THE
WEEK OF JULY 21, 2025

SERMON TITLE: Elijah Denounces Ahaziah

SCRIPTURE: 2 Kings 1

FOCUS: Elijah is a man of God who stands between Yahweh & Israel; he is not influenced by Israel’s attempts to silence him; he is obedient to the God who provides for him.

SEEKING GOD’S WILL: Lord God, You are the One True God – Just as Elijah stood firm in Your Word, teach us to seek Your will above all else. Help us not to rush to false gods of control, reputation, or human wisdom, but to wait on You and trust in who You have always proven to be – faithful.

FOCUS ON GOD’S GLORY: God, we are in awe of You. May our prayers, our lives, and our decisions showcase Your glory and Jesus’ sanctifying work on the cross. When disaster strikes may the Church rally to be the hands and feet that declare: “There is a God” and His name is Yahweh.

INTERCESSION FOR OTHERS: Father, we bring before You the names we carry in our own hearts – family, neighbors, leaders – asking that You break through with truth, mercy, conviction, and encouragement. Let the fire of Your Spirit consume us with an awakening and may our hearts bow before You before it is too late.

HUMILITY AND REPENTANCE: Jesus, please reveal the crooked ways in my heart. Search me and forgive me. Teach me the beauty of humility – a heart surrendered to Your authority.

SPIRITUAL WARFARE: Holy Spirit, we live in a constant state of temptation, lies, spiritual complacency, and the schemes of the enemy. Arm us with Your Spirit so that we may wield truth, walk in righteousness, and stand in the confidence that Your kingdom will prevail. Help us to continually stand strong, knowing that the fight belongs to You.
