KINGDOM PRAYERS FOR THE WEEK OF APRIL 8, 2024

FMC PRAYER: Father, this week we ask for conviction! May Your Spirit, and Your Spirit alone, set our hearts on fire so that we might repent and turn our eyes and feet back to that well lighted path. Holy Spirit, show us any way in which we are grieving, quenching or resisting You. Humbly keep us in step with Your plan and reign in us so that we experience Your freedom. Thank You for leading us through this life until that amazing moment when we get to see You face-to-face.

SUNDAY’S SCRIPTURE: Number 13:1-16

FMC ENDSTATE: Throughout the Tri-State Region & Beyond…the hungry are fed…Lord, You alone are the Giver of life, the Sustainer of the universe, the Alpha and the Omega – You know every thought in our minds and the desperate cries of our hearts. Through Your Word, You have given us our daily bread as fuel to face each day and through communion with You, we are able to see the fruit of Your Spirit. Thank You for giving us food that sustains and strengthens us and thank You for filling us with a joyous hunger for Your Kingdom.

INVISIBLE CHURCH: Lord, guide our leadership in faithfully shepherding Your flock. Thank You for the gift of pastors, teachers, and elders and bless the spouses and families of those leaders as they partner in the call of ministry. Strengthen their faith and joy in the gospel as they faithfully shepherd the church and equip the saints for ministry. Give them great wisdom and direction in every aspect of life so that they may patiently exemplify to the church and the world who You are. Help us honor them as Your appointed shepherds who sacrifice much for the Kingdom’s sake.

STUDENTS: Growth in Character and Hope – Father, we pray that this time will teach our students what it means to rejoice in sufferings. We pray that You would make them resilient and persistent, more like Christ with every passing hardship, developing their character and leading them to hope in You alone.

SCRIPTURE: Romans 5:3-5 Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.”

CARE: God Almighty – Your throne rightfully sits high above the dirt and decay of the world You made, and yet – You choose to live among us, dwelling in our hearts and minds, acting through our fingers, toes, and voices. Your people are continually lost in the wilderness and we humbly fall face down before You now – asking You to once again heal our brokenness and lead us back to the promised land. Your Spirit has clothed us in garments that do not decay, so we ask that You would bring warmth and peace to those who desperately need Your physical touch today. In your Son’s blessed name – we ask all these things. Amen.
