KINGDOM PRAYERS FOR THE WEEK OF JANUARY 29, 2024

FMC PRAYER: Lord, we lift up those who do not recognize you as Lord and Savior. We ask that Your Word be presented to them this week through gentleness, conviction, power, understanding, and an overwhelming peace that they have never known before. Teach us to make the most of every opportunity to share the richness of Your salvation and to be the fragrance of Christ to them. Unite us as we stand together against the enemy and his attempts to keep them blinded to Your truth.

SUNDAY’S SCRIPTURE: Ephesians 6:9

FMC ENDSTATE: Throughout the Tri-State Region & Beyond…the wrath of God is feared… In awe and reverence, we come before You, Lord – acknowledging Your holiness and majesty. We know that Your justice is perfect and true. Yet, in our frailty, we tremble at the thought of facing Your righteous anger, feeling the weight our sins.

Thank You, Lord, for the immeasurable love that compelled Your One and Only Son to bear the full weight of our sins upon the cross. In His sacrifice, we see the manifestation of Your mercy and grace, pouring out redemption and forgiveness upon undeserving souls like ours.

May Your Spirit continually remind us of the price that was paid for our redemption, that we may walk in gratitude and obedience all the days of our lives.

INVISIBLE CHURCH: Lord, guide our leadership in faithfully shepherding the flock. Thank You, Lord, for the gift of pastors, teachers, and elders. Strengthen their faith and joy in the gospel and help them faithfully and unashamedly fulfill their ministry of shepherding the church and equipping the saints for ministry Give them great wisdom and direction in every aspect of ministry, and may their example show the church and the world who you are. Bless the spouses and families of those leaders with great gospel joy in the ministry. Help us honor them as your appointed shepherds who sacrifice much for the Kingdom’s sake (Hebrews 13:17).

STUDENTS: Love of God’s Word – Father we pray that our students would spend time getting to know You through Your Word. May they long for pure spiritual milk! Grant them a desire for the meat of Your Word so that they will grow into maturity. We ask that You give them a longing to know You better through the reading of their Bibles, and we pray that they will bring their questions to us so we can grow together.

SCRIPTURE: 1 Peter 2:2
“Like newborn infants long for the pure spiritual milk, that by it you may grow up into salvation”

Hebrews 5:12
“For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you again the basic principles of the oracles of God. You need milk, not solid food”
