KINGDOM PRAYERS

KINGDOM PRAYERS FOR THE WEEK OF APRIL 3, 2023

FMC PRAYER: Lord, may our love greatly adorn the gospel. Father, your Son said that the love we have for our brothers and sisters will proclaim to the world that we are your disciples. Please deepen our love for one another and make us eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit – help us care for all, not showing any favoritism.

May Your love compel us to strengthen the weak, bind up the injured, and serve patiently as we remember our service to others is service to you. Help us model your unfathomable love for us in our honoring of one another, and so prove to the watching world that Christ has risen and reigns eternally.

SUNDAY’S SCRIPTURE:

“The next day the large crowd that had come to the feast heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem. So they took branches of palm trees and went out to meet him, crying out, “Hosanna! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord, even the King of Israel!” And Jesus found a young donkey and sat on it, just as it is written, “Fear not, daughter of Zion; behold, your king is coming, sitting on a donkey’s colt!” John 12: 12-15

“Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion! Shout aloud, O daughter of Jerusalem! Behold, your king is coming to you; righteous and having salvation is he, humble and mounted on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey.” Zech 9:9

FMC TEAM VALUES: Value 6 – Build the bench: To reach the Tri-State Region & Beyond, we must be committed to reproducing ourselves exponentially. We must constantly strive to lead more and do less. None of us are the Lone Ranger. Instead, we’re looking to build a team of people to serve alongside us, so we can multiply our skills and expertise. Similarly, we must be able to scale our processes and systems so that we can accommodate the growing body of Christ who are called to serve: we must build redundancy into our capability so that there is no single point of failure on the team.

OUTREACH: Mentoring Up and Down: Pray that we would all recognize that we are to grow, learn, serve, and become more like Jesus, together! Pray that we would all seek to share what God has done in and for us with one another; that we would be willing to invest in one another’s growth in meaningful, fruitful, and consistent ways; that no one would be too proud to admit that he/she doesn’t need others and that no one would believe the lie that he/she has nothing to offer.

PILLAR: Pillar 11: Build Each Other Up in Christ (exhort/affirm/encourage/peacemaker) Pray that FMC does not sit in judgement on anyone’s situation; instead, pray that our friendships would be strengthened with the wisdom and power of the Holy Spirit – as we stand beside you, no matter what you are going through.

PRACTICE: Listen and ask questions this week. Pray for those ‘hard to love’ people in your life and the encounters you may/may not have with them. Pray for the Holy Spirit’s power to give you strength and wisdom in your thoughts and words as you navigate how best to handle those relationships for the glory of God’s Kingdom here on earth.
