KINGDOM PRAYERS FOR THE WEEK OF JANUARY 23, 2023

FMC PRAYER: Pray that a culture of discipling would form in which ‘making disciples’ is viewed as an ordinary part of the Christian life.

Father, may my words and actions today further Your Kingdom here on earth – help me to hear your voice over that of my own. I ask that your Spirit lead me today on when to speak and when to act. Give me strength to do the right/hard thing.

SUNDAY’S SCRIPTURE: Ephesians 4:1-3 “I therefore, a prisoner for the Lord, urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.”

FMC TEAM VALUES: Mission: Taking our next steps toward Christ, together! Pray that everything we do would be done to accomplish this! Pray for the faith to follow the Spirit’s lead, keeping in step with Him each day, personally and corporately.

OUTREACH: Local missions: For the love of and commitment to the communities in which God has placed us. For God to show us where and how He is at work, so that we might use the gifts and resources He’s given us to be agents of His Kingdom in meaningful, fruitful ways. That God would give us opportunities (and the courage to take advantage of them!) in our neighborhoods, schools, gyms, and workplaces to share the hope and love of Christ in word and deed.

APPLICATION: Practice: Every day this week, write out what Jesus means to you…write it on paper or in a note on your phone. What difference has the knowledge of Christs’ sacrifice and the presence of the Holy Spirit now within you – how does that shape your day?
