Care Network

In John 13:35, Jesus says, "As I have loved you, so you must love one another." As fully devoted followers of Christ, we are compelled to respond to God’s amazing love and mercy with acts of compassion and care toward others.

The Four Mile Care Network is one way that we bring comfort, care, hope and healing within our church community and beyond. The network consists of several teams staffed primarily by church deacons and church members who provide both spiritual and physical help to those who have need. The list below includes the different teams that are currently in place with a brief description of the need each fills. Pastoral Care Team

The ministry staff is honored to support you and your family during times of challenge in your life. Personal meetings are easily arranged through the church office.

Emergency Care Team

In times of crisis, urgent support is readily provided by this team.

Meal Ministry Team

Many church families are a part of this team that prepares and delivers meals to those who are ill, have a loved one who is sick or in the hospital, have a new baby to care for or are suffering a loss.

Transportation Ministry Team

This team gives rides to shut-ins, the elderly or church members without transportation so that they can attend church and arrange medical appointments.

Visitation Team

The members of this team have a gift for easing the loneliness of those who are unable to leave their home by visiting and bringing the message of God’s love and hope to them.

Military Ministry Team

This patriotic team sends cards and care packages to soldiers in need of encouragement.

Infant Baptism & New Parent Ministry Team

The members of this team provide gifts to babies at the time of their baptism and offer help to parents during their first weeks at home with meals, encouragement, and support.

Grief Ministry Team

This team supports grieving families by assisting at funerals, preparing and serving a funeral luncheon, and offering comfort and encouragement throughout the grieving process.

Care Package Team

The creative members of this team send care packages and special notes to those away from our church family due to military service, college or extended work away from home.

Prayer Chain Team

Our prayer warriors meditate diligently and regularly over all prayer requests that come through Four Mile As soon as prayer requests are made known, they immediately go out to the team for prayer.

Care Caller Team

Our care callers serve to communicate and pray God’s blessing on individuals and families. They make phone calls on behalf of the Pastor and church leadership just to stay in touch and check in on how things are going.
