Core Classes

A Foundation for Church Members

Our next series of classes is scheduled for Saturday, September 17th from 9:00am - 12:30pm. coreTransparentMedium

Core Classes consist of four, three-hour-long courses, each designed to prepare you to take the next step toward being an engaged member of Four Mile Church and a dedicated follower of Jesus Christ. These classes are offered several times each year so that it is convenient for busy church members to easily attend. The goal is to have everyone in our church family complete these four courses within a two year time frame. A light meal is provided and childcare is available. There a $5 per person cost for materials.

Class 101: Discovering Membership

This introductory course offers basic instruction about the Christian faith and what it means to belong to Four Mile. We spend time explaining our church structure, our vision, and our values. Participants are encouraged to engage in discussion as we relate previous experiences and goals for the future. This course is the first step in fulfilling our mission: “helping people take their next step toward Christ...together.” Once completed, participants may become official church members. Class 201: Spiritual Maturity - Cultivating Life with God

We believe that the next step toward faithful service involves looking inward and taking time to develop a deep personal relationship with God. No matter how biblical or spiritual you are, every person has room to grow in their spiritual maturity. This course is specifically designed to help believers of every level pursue a Christ-centered life in the real world. Participants leave this class with a sense of excitement along with a personalized plan that empowers them to apply what they’ve learned to their everyday life. Prerequisite: Class 101. Class 301: Discovering Ministry

We are all blessed by God to have certain individual passions and talents. At Four Mile, we believe that we are given these spiritual gifts as tools to do God’s work in this world. This course is designed to help participants identify their spiritual gifts and find ways to use them. Participants leave this class inspired, realizing that they have been blessed with gifts meant to be used for life-changing ministry. Prerequisite: Class 201. Click Here to register.

Class 401: Discovering Mission

The fourth core class is an interactive and self-reflective journey to discover how God can use you to share the good news. Participants in this course spend time remembering their own faith journey and use this information to develop an understanding of their personal evangelistic style. By the end of the course, each person is equipped with a personalized evangelistic strategy. Prerequisite: Class 301. Click Here to register.
