Kingdom Prayers

KINGDOM PRAYERS FOR THE WEEK OF DECEMBER 5, 2021

Vision: To reach the Tri-State Region & Beyond for God’s Kingdom by making fully devoted followers of Jesus.

Pray that everything we do would be done to accomplish this! Pray that we would be willing to set anything that doesn’t help us reach this vision. Pray for the faith to follow the Spirit’s lead, keeping in step with Him each day, personally and corporately.

End state: Throughout the Tri-State Region & Beyond… the Glory of God is honored, intimacy with Jesus is treasured, the Holy Spirit’s fruit ripens in believers’ lives, the holiness of God is revered, the goodness of God is relished, the truth of God is pursued, the faithfulness of God is trusted, the promises of God are believed, the grace of God is cherished, the wrath of God is feared, the commandments of God are obeyed, the lost are found, repentance and gratitude flow, praise and prayer erupt, lives and communities are transformed, love and joy fills hearts, freedom and forgiveness overwhelm, barriers are broken down, the hungry are fed, marriages are restored, families are reunited, and prodigals come home!

Pray that we would see these things come to pass in ever-increasing ways! Pray that we would celebrate and give glory to God each and every moment we see this happening in one another’s lives!

FMC Team Values: Values describe how we will behave as we accomplish our vision, mission, strategy, and end state. Our values are not so much about getting into the endzone, but rather more about HOW we score. Without stating them, the Tri-State Region and FMC should be able to recognize these values by how we behave. FMC has ten team values – we’ll share one each week, simply cycling through them as we pray together.

Pray that no matter who or where or when, that these values would begin to permeate who we are and how we live and serve and love together!

Value 3: Stretch it out

We want our team to be agile and athletic, quickly and effectively responding to the unexpected and spontaneous. In fact, we want to move beyond being OK with change and eventually be able to leverage change as a tool that helps us accomplish our mission. Along with this speed and flexibility, it’s important for us to embrace candid feedback and evaluation so we can be even more effective the next time around. KEY WORDS: FLEXIBILITY, AGILITY, ADAPTATION

That we would be a church who worships in spirit and truth

A time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in spirit and truth. John 4:23-24

So here’s what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life – your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life – and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him. Don’t become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You’ll be changed from the inside out. Romans 12:1-2 (The Message)

Pray that we would recognize that our God is the God of every square inch – that we would recognize that every facet of our lives is meant to be an act of sacrificial worship and praise unto God.

The Center

For God to continue to accomplish His purposes in and through this ministry in Midland. For the Center Board – that they would continue to humbly and prayerfully seek God’s face and His will and that they would align their own hearts/wills accordingly; that they would be united in their decisions and leadership. For Jen Miller and her family – that God would continue to strengthen and sustain them – physically, emotionally, relationally and spiritually. That Jen would be given wisdom and discernment to continue to lead well, in full dependence on the Lord. For God to lead the Board to find the Program Director He has appointed to serve in this community in the months and years to come.
